Burning Man Scholarship

Berkeley Point is offering Burning Man participants the opportunity for a "scholarship." The owners of Berkeley Point (two neighbors, working out of home and garage) worked on a number of LED-based projects for the last two Burning Man events. We used them in costumes, to light our dome, and as beacons on playa-based art work. The LED lights turned out to be perfect for Burning Man:

they consumed very little power over the days of the events
they worked well with solar power
they are light weight, incorporating well into costumes and other portable installations
they provide a moonlight glow - limited effect on your night vision

We had so much fun with our creative output last year, we have decided to provide a "scholarship" to one Burning Man participant.

The Details

Berkeley Point will provide:

Up to 25 light fixtures (Tri-cluster or MicroStar).
100 Feet of Low-Voltage wire.
Wire connectors
Up to three 12V power supplies
Technical design consultation

What You Need to Do

Prepare a brief description of your idea or project detailing the integration of the LED fixtures.
Let us know how many lights you would need.
Give us an idea of your skill level in dealing with low voltage wiring - soldering, machining, etc.
Give us an idea on how the project will work with the theme of this year's event.
